Sweet Potato, Spinach Quinoa Bowl w/ Pesto
This layered bowl is a veritable tower of power, high in protein, iron, calcium, and potassium with distinctive flavors borrowed from northern Italy. Quinoa, bites of tender sweet potato, and whole leaf spinach come together with a basil and mint pesto with garlic, a squeeze of lemon, and a hint of chipotle heat (or is it the sriracha?) to tantalize the tastebuds.
All of our bowls are frozen to best preserve their gourmet quality and immunity boosting nutritional value.
Stove top: Place frozen contents in a saucepan with 2 tablespoons of water or our Restorative Mineral Broth. Cover and heat on medium to medium-low for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until heated through.
Microwave: Our compostable bowls and lids are microwave safe or use a microwave safe container. Loosen lid and heat on high for 3-1/2 to 4 minutes. Let stand for 30 seconds. Add additional time in 20 second increments if needed to reach desired temperature.
Note: USDA guidelines state that all reheated food should reach a temperature of 165-degrees Fahrenheit before consumption.
